New Moon in Sagittarius 2014-Learning to Fly

fall roadTuesday December 3rd, 2013 is New Moon in Sagittarius. Have you felt a difference in the energy over the last week (since we moved into Sagittarius)? I’ve found it to be lighter and a bit easier.

Going through the Constellations – the astrology signs – is like taking a healing journey. Every month we are supported to focus on a specific area we need/want to heal. We’ve just come out of the deep feeling of the water sign of Scorpio into the lighter, more spontaneous feeling Sagittarius – a fire sign. It’s a break between two heavier energies.

Our journey through Scorpio is transformational. When we move into Sagittarius we bring that transformation into light. There is a sense of freedom that comes with this move, something that is very important to Sagittarius. People born under this sign do not like to be tied down or constricted. If you try they are likely to walk away.

Sag is the truth seeker of the Zodiac. They are drawn to the study of the law, of religion, spirituality in their search. But there is also the inner truth that we are now able to connect with through our journey in Scorpio. Getting in touch with more of our truth, who we are, we then need to learn how to express it. This is highlighted by Sag’s frankness and direct communication. Sometimes they veer into bluntness and lack of tact. Don’t take offense – they’re still learning. A true Sag doesn’t have a mean bone in their body; they just don’t always think before they open their mouths.

People born under the sign of Sagittarius are big picture people. They tend not to be detail sunset - the end of the dayoriented, so may take shortcuts or be a bit careless. They are ruled by Jupiter and just got released from the underworld of Scorpio. They are an expansive sign, so things tend to be bigger than life when they are telling the story. Sometimes they exaggerate a bit.

Physically, Sagittarius rules the hips, liver and upper legs, those parts that keep us strong and flexible.

If you are setting intent this New Moon, here are some samples:

  • I am asking to speak my truth in a compassionate and aware manner, showing tact when appropriate.
  • I am asking to be aware of and take care of the details in my life with dedication and joy.
  • I am asking for the opportunity and means to travel to someplace warm this winter.
  • I am asking to understand the cause of the problem with my hips/liver and to be able to learn what I need to learn in order to heal.

And We Begin – Clearing

Over time, we collect heavy, stagnant or negative energy in our body, mind and environment. We hold on to emotions, thoughts, beliefs – some of which aren’t even ours. That energy can make us feel sluggish, tired. We can feel overwhelmed, anxious, angry, lose motivation, lose clarity and may even gain weight. Ouch. When we let these go, we create space: space for clarity, calmness and focus. We bring more harmony and flow into our lives and it becomes easier to handle what life brings our way. Emotions, stress, other people’s vibes, even old memories, can let go. Clearing

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I
