And We Begin – Clearing

Over time, we collect heavy, stagnant or negative energy in our body, mind and environment. We hold on to emotions, thoughts, beliefs – some of which aren’t even ours.

That energy can make us feel sluggish, tired. We can feel overwhelmed, anxious, angry, lose motivation, lose clarity and may even gain weight. Ouch.

When we let these go, we create space: space for clarity, calmness and focus. We bring more harmony and flow into our lives and it becomes easier to handle what life brings our way. Emotions, stress, other people’s vibes, even old memories, can let go. Clearing wipes the slate clean, leaving space for joy, peace, and fresh inspiration. It’s like an energetic reset.

It’s not only our mind, body, spirit that needs to be cleansed. Our physical space, our environment, also needs to be cleared. When it feels fresh, clear and neutral (holding nothing that does not need to be there), we function better. We have more clarity, more vitality, more motivation, and are more creative.

How do we tell when we need that energy reset?

  1. We feel sluggish or heavy
  2. We lack motivation
  3. Flow stops or slows down
  4. We experience emotions such as anger, fear, overwhelm in an abnormal manner (stronger than normal etc.)
  5. Areas in our environment may feel uncomfortable or heavy.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to share some basic methods of clearing both yourself and your environment. These are very easy to do, take little time and need little or no equipment.

Here’s the first one to get you started:

The Morning Energy Sweep

Around our physical body, just an inch or two out, we have an energy body that resembles the physical body. We want to make sure this body is clear to begin our day.

Begin:

Stand tall, take a deep breath in – deep breathe out. Place your hands, palms facing your body, at the top of your head and about 2 inches from the body. Brush your hands down your energy body three times, and say:

“I clear and reset my energy for today.”

You can do the front, sides and back of the body, or simply the front – your choice.

It may seem simple, but when you do this daily, it sets a powerful energetic boundary.
