New Moon in Aries – New Beginnings

Thursday we move into the astrological sign of Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. This is a sign that is very grounded in the physical, even though it is a fire sign. It is a sign of new beginnings, as in the Northern Hemisphere we begin to see the the plants push through the soil, and hear the Robins singing. Soon we’ll see them gathering bits and pieces to build a nest so they can start a family.

Looking at nature, you can see many of the characteristics of Aries. To forge new beginnings you have to be a warrior. To fly thousands of miles to come “home” to breed and spend the summer months takes courage, fortitude and strength. It takes a willingness to follow intuition and gut feeling.

For a seed to sprout and push its way through the earth to feel the sun takes an amazing sense of self, of knowing what you are about, who you are and what you are meant to be. It takes boldness, a sense of self direction and the courage to follow your instincts.

Our instinct is to grow, as well, and we need the fortitude and courage of Aries to follow our instincts and our dreams, to blaze new trails. We need to take initiative, move into a leadership role in our own lives and get out of our comfort zone by taking risks.

Aries is an independent sign. We set personal boundaries as to what or who can come in, during Aries. It’s a very energetic, vital, action oriented time. Right now, we’re having the reins pulled in a bit by the Universe, as Mercury and Mars are both still retrograde until April, but this gives us extra time to make sure that what we want to create is aligned with our true nature. As in the Tarot, we are the Fool (innocent and trusting), setting off on a journey.

Physically, Aries rules the eyes, acne, head, face, headaches and dizziness.

If you are planning to create intent for this New Moon, here are some samples:

I am asking to have the courage to take the first step toward a new adventure and the fortitude to see it through.
I am asking to be guided to ways to heal my eyes naturally.
I am asking to move into a leadership role in my own life, while taking into account the highest and best good of all concerned.
I am asking for the courage to be me, who ever that is, and not a copy of someone else, to find my own dreams and ways of manifesting them.

Have a wonderful new beginning. May it be joyful and filled with blessing

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
