Astrologers have been talking about these three months -September, October and November, since the spring of this year. They talked of the intensity of the energy, the changes coming and the eclipses.
Now, we’re here. Can you feel it?
I stood outside and watched part of the Lunar Eclipse on September 17th. I could feel it in my body, but didn’t really understand what it was bringing. I think I do now. One night last week, I woke up at 3am sweating, slightly nauseated and dizzy. When I closed my eyes my body moved, so I kept my eyes open. Finally, I got up for an hour. It took into the afternoon for this feeling to dissipate. I drank lots of water and just let it be. When it was almost finished, I drank a cup of cardamon tea, which helped me release the leftovers.
Full Moons are about endings, and I think I ended something fairly major that night. I asked what was going on during the process and was impulsed to pull an oracle card from the Moonology deck. The card I got was Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. Couldn’t get clearer.
Also last week, I suddenly had all this energy and interest in things I hadn’t cared about for a while. Then, I realized the New Moon Solar Eclipse was only days away. Solar Eclipses always happen at the New Moon and bring amplified new beginnings. This happened before the releasing, so I thought that was interesting.
New Moon Solar Eclipse
Wednesday October 2nd is the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra, the sign of the scales, of balance and emphasis on the other rather than the self. Libra is about keeping things equitable and peaceful, connection and co-operation and choices. Because this Eclipse is placed on the South Node it reflects where we’re moving from, our past. It asks, “what am letting go of so I can connect to something new?” This New Moon there seems to be a clarion call – make a decision – take some action.
We are being called to connect with something that excites us, makes our heart sing or at least interests us and then act on it. It’s time to do something positive, to take a first step. Finally, it’s time to move forward.
We’ve had a long period of not being supported in action (not meaning we couldn’t do things, but they may have taken longer, taken a little more energy). Now, we are encouraged to bring our dreams and hopes into the physical. We have the opportunity to change our lives.
My New Mantra
I’m not sure if I got all the words exactly as he said them, but this is from Gregory Scott, Astrologer:
“I am able to help myself out by restructuring my life so that it feels like something I’d like to be in.”
That is becoming my mantra for the next while, until it becomes integrated and part of my life.
I hope you find this eclipse season as exciting as I do and take advantage of this incredible opportunity to change your life for the better. It can be a physical change or an attitude change. The decision is yours to make.
Setting Intent
If you’re setting intent for this New Moon (and I hope you are), here are some examples:
- I am letting go of whatever needs to go with joy and ease.
- I am creating space for new, interesting, beautiful relationships and experiences in my life
- I am placing my focus on what I want to happen and releasing what I fear
- I am restructuring my life so it feels like something I’d like to be in
Have a great New Moon Solar Eclipse.
