Today is Full Moon in Virgo. This is a Super Full Moon, which means the moon is close to the earth. In fact, this moon is the closest to the earth of all the Full Moons this year. That makes it intense. Did you see the moon last night? It was large, but there was a compactness to it, a focus and a clarity. It was beautiful and felt powerful.
Full Moons usually mean closure – something is coming to an end, a project, a situation. It also shines a light on that which needs to come to an end, so, if you have projects that need to be completed, a desk that needs to cleaned off, a relationship that needs to be clarified, this is the time to do it.
Virgo is an Earth sign. Its grounding energy gives us a firm platform from which to take the next step. It invites us to see the details of our lives with no denial, to see what is working and what is not. This sign deals with organization, structure, determination and moving forward with patience – one step at a time. These are all grounded energies, and help us to feel safe. From what I have read, this month we have the opportunity to make great changes in our lives, great improvements, if we are organized, have routines in our lives that are beneficial to us and cultivate the patience to take one step at a time. We have an opportunity for success.
I’ve been invited over the last week or so to look at my own routines. Those of you who follow me on Facebook will know that I have started a 30 day challenge of self healing. For almost 6 months I did yoga every morning, then, I stopped. A couple of months later, here I am, with tight hips, stiff knees and feeling a definite loss of energy.
I was reminded how important that routine is to my well being. For the last week I have done my yoga practice every morning and posted on Facebook. It’s great accountability for me, and seems to have inspired a few other people to join me.
Bringing this routine back into my life has created space for new things by replacing fatigue, lack of joy and connection to self – things that were taking up space that were not beneficial.
So, look at your own life. Is there a belief or a routine that is not serving you? Is there something unfinished that is taking up mental and emotional space, as well as physical space? Take a look at what needs to go to create space for the new, for we have a wonderful opportunity right now to change our lives for the better.
Are you ready to take baby steps with patience and focus?
