Taking Back Control

Friday November 15 is the Full Moon in Taurus. Taurus is an Earth sign and it’s one of the most stable signs of the zodiac. It’s the sign of the bull, so that tells you a lot about the characteristics of this sign. It’s feels solid, immovable, stable, stubborn, reliable, slow to anger – but watch out. Are there any of these characteristics you could use a bit more of? Or less of?

Change

This sign does not like change. It likes things just as they are. Don’t move a thing, please. However, this month there is a spanner in the placid works of Taurus. There is the possibility of upheavals, revelations, surprises, all of which spell change. Change is in the air. We’re being pushed out of the comfortable ruts we have built for ourselves. It feels a bit like chicks being pushed out of the nest. So, of course, Taurus says “whoa, hang on there.”

This is a time of huge upheaval. So much is being thrown at us at once, so much information, so much noise, so much change we have to accommodate and grow to meet. We’re being told to let go of what no longer serves us, what we no longer need. How do we even know what that is?

What Can I Do?

This is the perfect time to take a step back, to look at your life and how you’re dealing with it with an objective eye. Take a pause and remember who you are in the midst of all this noise. Go back to basics. Find your core and live there for a while.

Where is My Core?

Your core is your centre, that stable part of you that knows – everything and nothing. It is what you believe in, what you value, what makes you – you.

How Do I Find It?

Being quiet helps. Turn off the noise and pay attention to you. If you are able, spend time in Nature. Do some journaling about your beliefs and what’s important to you. Take a nap, relax.

What Does It Feel Like When I’m Connected?

It gives you choices about how you respond to the world when you are connected to your core. You choose how you want to feel. You are in the flow. You are able to easily move through change, to accept disruption and carry on. You have a level of security in yourself and live from that space.

Taking Control

Life as we know it does not encourage us to slow down, to take time to know ourself. We are encouraged to keep busy and overwhelmed. It takes a conscious effort to make changes in our life so we can move into our centre and learn to live from there. But is worth the effort.

Find a bit of wilderness and visit often, even if sometimes, it’s in your imagination. Discover who you are at the core and make decisions based on that, not on hype. Allow the energy of Taurus to guide you in slowing down so you can consider the surprises, the revelations, from a dispassionate place of neutrality, then choose how they affect you. This is how to take control of your life.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
