In the Northern Hemisphere, March 22nd is the Spring Equinox. It is the midpoint between the Winter and the Summer Solstices. To me, the Equinox is an indicator of change. Over the winter, we spend more time with an inward focus, being with ourselves, feeling how the year went, and how we want the next one to look. We have been impulsed to clean up whatever needed to be cleaned up, tie up the last of the loose ends, so we can move forward with the Spring. We get outside, tend our gardens, greet our neighbours, and move forward with our lives.
The Spring Equinox is in Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, so we are getting ready to begin our journey once more. The journey through the Zodiac gives us the opportunity to learn what we need to from each sign, to assimilate the traits we need to bring in, and to release or heal what we need to let go of. It is a wondrous journey, where we plant our seeds, nurture them and watch them grow. We celebrate the harvest of what we have created, ponder what we might do differently next time, what we learned in the process, how we have changed and grown, and what we would still like to change. We celebrate the returning of the light and the growing darkness, both part of the natural plan. And then we begin again.
In a couple of weeks, we are beginning again. I am celebrating this by hosting a get-together where we will create a statement of what we would like this journey through the Zodiac to bring for each of us. Then, we will create a vision board, a visual reminder to focus our intent, and then learn to breathe this vision into being.
Join us on Sunday the 18th of March at 1pm to set your vision. Call or email to register. Cost is $25.
