I just listened to a song on the radio whose sentiment has inspired me, and I thought I would pass it along. I listen to country music when I cook or clean; the rhythms keep me moving and I lose myself in the music. This morning I was cooking and this one came on. It’s titled Live Like You Were Dying, by Tim McGraw. (http://bit.ly/r9v8qv).
In the song, he says he wishes everyone could experience living as though they were dying. They would truly enjoy life, take chances/risks, feel love more deeply. This is an experience I’m incorporating into my life.
Last year, a friend of mine passed away at a very young age. While thinking about her one day I asked myself what I would regret not having done if I were to pass away suddenly. I was surprised at the response I got; there were a couple of things that came up. I have been opening these areas of my life up to change, to new experiences, and I find I am enjoying life more. I am participating more in my life and in a different way. I invite you all to live as though you were dying, as we all are. Enjoy making the most of the life that you have.
