New Moon in Pisces 2014

Pisces, a water sign, is the last astrological sign in our lunar journey. Next month, we begin again with Aries. New Moon in Pisces is March 1st, 2014.

Pisces is an opportunity to see how far we have come in our journey over the year. Have we grown spiritually, mentally, emotionally? This Mercury Retrograde period is helping us to see where we are, especially emotionally and mentally. It started in Pisces, a water (emotions) sign, and OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAretrograded back to Aquarius, an air (mental) sign. How are you feeling? Joyful, balanced, or a little tired, stressed, or depressed? Retrograde itself is over this week, but the shadow period lasts into March.

This sign rules unconditional love, so this is the perfect time to forgive ourselves for all the things we didn’t get done, for all of our mistakes and imperfections. It’s time to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, to release any judgment we’re harbouring and accept ourselves as we are, and with compassion. Extending that forgiveness and love to others is the next step.

Pisces is a water sign, so there may be the tendency to be unfocused or to allow confusion and chaos into our lives. This is a time to be aware of subtle energies and guidance. Surrender and trust are key words for Pisces – trusting that all is in Divine order, that everything is as it needs to be. Spending time alone, quietly, doing some meditation or yoga, breathing exercises etc. may help you to achieve inner peace and to go with the flow.

When the Pisces energy is out of balance, we may feel defeated before we even start, so we will procrastinate, become panicky or lose sleep. We may resort to deception of ourselves or others.

If you should find yourself developing any of these responses, I have found exercise to be of great benefit. It turns my attitude around, moves the energy out so I can become more positive. Deep breathing, swimming, a brisk walk all serve to move the energy. They work even better when I remember to do themThe other thing I find useful is to be aware of what is floating through my mind affecting my attitude. I have a very pretty little imaginary basket that I put those thoughts into, I add some flowers to keep them happy, and maybe some herbs to heal them, then let them go.

Physically, Pisces rules colds, feet, bunions and corns, the lymphatic system and toxicity. We are coming up to the perfect timing to a liver cleanse, when it get to be a bit warmer. I do an herbal tea, but there are many products on the market.

If you are setting intent for this New Moon, here are some samples:

I am asking for the ability to easily forgive myself for my imperfections, to love myself unconditionally, and without ego.

I am asking to be more aware of subtle energies and guidance in my life.

I am asking to have a clear, un-muddled mind that remains positive and relaxed, ready to receive guidance and act on it.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
