New Moon is Wednesday September 8. And so we begin the next stage of our yearly cycle. As summer as we know it (even thought it lasts until September 22) is ending and we say goodbye to the barbeques and beach parties of fun loving Leo, we move into the more organized energy of Virgo.
It is no accident that this is the beginning of the new school year. It is perfect timing. We become more organized, get our school gear together, and prepare to get back to work. For many of us, this represents a more meaningful New Year than January 1st.
Moving into Virgo, it’s as though we get a new chance, a new opportunity to put things in order, both business wise and health wise. For those of us who found it just too hot this summer to work out, we need to take the opportunity Virgo offers to set up routines, whether it be going to the gym, walking the extra couple of subway stops, to work off the ice cream etc. and get back into shape.
Virgo also rules our work/job situation, so keep your eyes and ears open for any opportunities that the Universe may send your way. Use your discernment, analyze situations and focus on finding what you are looking for. If you’re organized, you’re more able to act quickly, so sort your papers, get your resume ready, and clean house, both physically, mentally and emotionally.
Physically, Virgo rules the intestines, digestion and assimilation and solar plexus. So this is an excellent time to take a look at your life to see what is working and what isn’t (assimilation and digestion), what needs to be released (behaviour patterns, clutter, worry, excessive perfectionism, blame and judgment) and see how we can bring more flow into our lives. With the Fall Equinox, we enter the time of looking at what we have created over the year. Are we satisfied with where we are? Now is our time to clear out the cobwebs so we can get a good look at what is, once Autumn is here.
