Taurus is the sign of the bull. It’s an earth sign – very grounded in the physical. This particular New Moon in Taurus brings us the opportunity to clear more, to understand where we need to create more balance and harmony in out lives and help us to understand how to bring that in.
Taurus people are very tactile, very physical. They love money for what it can provide – the sights, the sounds, the smells, luxurious things to touch. So perhaps, it’s time to indulge yourself a little after a long cold winter. Take some patio time, go for a walk in nature, buy a new scent for yourself or someone you love. Or, perhaps, you indulge yourself too much, and need to get focused on the business at hand and take care of the money. Either way, this New Moon is an excellent time to take a look. Which do need, or are you somewhere in the middle, close to a point of balance?
An easy way to start bringing balance and harmony into your life is to enjoy every moment here on Earth. Even the uncomfortable situations, the ones we’d rather not deal with, hold valuable opportunities to grow, to become more, and for that we can be grateful. Being content with where we are in life, who we are, gives us a solid platform from which to grow, rather than a stopping point. There is always more, when we’re ready.
Taurus rules having solid foundations from which to grow. Being the Bull, it is slow to move most of the time. It’s a one foot in front of the other kind of guy. Step by step we create our world. That gives us time to consider options. It’s easier to persevere that way, rather than getting all fired up and burning ourselves out.
Because of this, people born under this sign are usually dependable. They’re not flighty, but well grounded, and this is the energy we’re being supported to cultivate.
Love and enjoy who/what/where you are, and have an awareness, but don’t become attached to any of it. Things are changing too rapidly these days, and if you resist that change, you can cause problems for yourself. Taurus isn’t always a “go with the flow” kind of sign, and that’s more the energy of right now; so if you hold on, resist, if you’re possessive and stuck in your ways (all Taurus traits) you may be in for rough ride. Your intent for the New Moon might be to release some of these traits.
Physically, Taurus rules coughs (I’ve heard a lot of those lately), throat and neck, and the thyroid gland.
Have fun with Taurus, don’t get too serious. Enjoy the scents, sounds and smells of spring, the feel of the earth under your feet and in your hands, and open to the possibilities.
