New Moon in Taurus 2013 – Put Spring into Your Step

Thursday May 9th is New Moon in Taurus. Taurus is an earth sign, the sign of the bull. We are moving from Aries, a sign of fire and passion around new beginnings, to an earth sign, so that we may ground these passions and watch the seeds sprout.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Taurus is a very sensual sign. People born under this sign enjoy the finer things in life, and enjoy having the money to afford them.

One of the first steps to manifesting more is to appreciate what you already have. This month is a great time to make a gratitude list and read it every day. Remember to include the little things in your list, like the shade from a tree or the song of the birds, the taste of a ripe strawberry. Taurus appreciates simple pleasures as well as the new car, new cell phone etc.

Being happy and accepting exactly where you are gives you a firm platform from which to “spring” forward. It helps you to ground, and to connect at a heart level. It puts spring in your step.

This may also help you to understand what is really important to you – immensely valuable when you are trying to manifest. It is annoying at the least to put effort into manifesting something then discover you really didn’t want it – it doesn’t fit into the scheme of things. It helps you to understand what your values are, what your needs really are. It makes it easier to move forward in integrity. It makes it easier for people (and the Universe) to help you when you are clear.

People born under the sign of Taurus have been known to be stubborn and to hold on to things when they need to let go. They tend to be inflexible and resistant to change. If you see this tendency in yourself, this is a really good time to shift it. The energies are supporting you. We are in a time of constant change right now, so resisting is futile. You can come with grace, or you can make a difficult time of it – but you will come. Bringing flexibility and flow into your life will help you enjoy the ride a lot more.

Physically, Taurus rules the throat and neck, the thyroid gland and the vocal cords – all 5th chakra. We’re being influenced to understand ourselves better – at a deeper level – so we can really express our truth.

If you are setting intent for this New Moon, here are some samples:

  • I am asking to bring more flow and grace into my life, so I may accept change with less angst.
  • I am asking to better understand what I really need in this life, what will help me on my journey, and to release what no longer serves me with grace and ease.
  • I am asking to bring more flexibility into my life on all levels – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Enjoy the ride through Taurus. Enjoy making your gratitude list. Make gratitude a part of every day.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
