New Moon in Libra – Finding Your Balance

This New Moon in Libra is on Tuesday October 13, 2015. Last lunar month in Virgo, we contracted, pulled in, looking/focused on the details. This lunar month we expand. We learn to fall treesinclude others, build partnerships and share. This is the pulse – contract, expand, contract, expand.

Libra is an air sign, the sign of the scales. That signifies that we have the opportunity to integrate balance and equality into our lives. Part of that is being able to see the other person’s point of view. One thing I’ve learned this time around is that “the truth” is personal and will probably change over time. Every time we contract, or pull in, as we did in Virgo, we learn more of our own truth. When we expand, we have the opportunity to try out that truth in life. How does it fit? I hold certain things as true, but not everyone would agree with me. They have a different truth and we are all right. People who integrate this aspect of Libra are peacemakers.

If you have difficulties with this aspect of Libra, do some work around having to be right and being more allowing.

Libra is ruled by Venus. Libras enjoy all things beautiful. They tend to be art lovers and enjoy being surrounded by harmony and balance. They are charming and love to do things in their own time. Don’t rush a Libra. This a great time of year to slow down, take in and be thankful for the beauty around us.

One of the things that many people find difficult is to receive. We love to give, but receiving, or allowing others to give or support, is not as easy. Libra is about working in partnership, whether it’s one on one or as a team, so give and take is important. On the flip side, we can need too much support, fear to take initiative or figure things out on our own. In relationships it’s important to be comfortable both ways – balance.

Because Libras are so aware of “the other” and their likes and needs, and have a need to please, it can be difficult to make decisions. We may all find it more difficult to make decisions this month. My grandmother used to say, “If you please yourself, at least one person is pleased.” So grab your courage by both hands, take a deep breath, and move from your head to your heart. What does it say to do?

Physically, Libra rules kidneys, adrenals and the buttocks. Perhaps these organs etc. need a bit of extra care at this time of changing weather.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
