New Moon in Libra

Libra is about peace and balance. It is also about relationships. Balanced relationships. Those relationships can be personal, work related, between groups, even between countries. But, it really needs to start with the individual. Being conscious in a relationship is important. If you are conscious, you do not take the other for granted, you appreciate them.

What constitutes a balanced relationship according to Libra? It is one of sharing, of equality and of fairness. In such a relationship we would listen to and appreciate the point of view of the other. It would be a peaceful, harmonious relationship where we would negotiate things and agree upon solutions, not fight. No one is more important than the other. We let go of competition and become co-operative.

In such a relationship we would support each other in our time of need. We would each bring our strengths to the relationship with acknowledgement of our weaknesses. We would receive the support and assistance to grow when we were ready.

In our most important relationship, the one with ourselves, we also need to cultivate these qualities. We need to listen to our bodies when they say “enough, I need to rest”. We also need to listen when our guidance says, “ You can do this, get going. It is good for you to stretch”. We need to be giving when it is required, but we also need to know how to receive with grace.

I was thinking about this as I was teaching the Axiatonal Alignment class on Sunday. In this treatment, we balance the male and female perspectives. That means a balance between the “doing” and the “being” parts of ourselves. We also bring balance to the giving and receiving, the magnetizing and the “putting out there”. We balance the intellect with the intuition, or as I see it, the head and heart. They have to work together, as each has something to offer.

When creating a balanced relationship, it really helps to be comfortable with who you are. That may mean doing the internal work necessary to get to that place. One of the qualities that is important is an open heart. Healing the wounds to the heart makes it much easier to be part of a balanced relationship.

If you are setting intent this New Moon (you still have some time), here are some samples:

  • • I am asking to easily attract a harmonious and beneficial business/personal relationship that will help me to find balance in my life.
  • • I am asking to be confident and comfortable in who I am.
  • • I am asking for the strength to negotiate what I need from this relationship while honouring the needs of the other.
  • • I am asking for a more peaceful and harmonious atmosphere at my place of work.

Enjoy the rest of Libra. Take some time to get outside and allow nature to heal you.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
