New Moon in Aries 2015

Spring FlowersNew Moon in Aries is Saturday April 18, 2015. This is a time of new beginnings. In our gardens we see new shoots bursting through the earth, we wake to the sound of birds greeting the new day, the new opportunity to create.

We move from the unity, the all – encompassing energy of Pisces to the more self centred energy of Aries. This sign is about individual discovery of who we really are at an even deeper level. The focus is on the self right now – who am I? What do I really want in my life and what do I have to do to create it? What is my new direction and how do I manifest it in my life?

Aries is the sign of the warrior. Not the let’s go out and do battle and draw blood sort of warrior (although he was just that in Greek Mythology), but the sort of warrior who shows courage and strength to accomplish what needs to be done. Plants must have a warrior spirit to push through the earth. Birds must have a warrior spirit to fly the distances they do in order to return here. We must also cultivate a warrior spirit to bring forth what we wish to create.

As a warrior, Aries rules courage. It takes courage to follow through with our dreams. It takes courage to do the work on ourselves for, to forgive ourselves for weakness. Our stone of the month, Hematitie, can help with that.

Aries is a fire sign, a sign of high energy. It’s an action oriented sign, finally doing after a long winter of dreaming. Those born under this sign, when they have courage, are risk takers. They rely on themselves to create and to survive. They take initiative, come up with innovative ways to do things, and then take the action necessary.

With that warrior-like self dependence can come impatience when things don’t happen fast enough, or when others take time to catch up with you. Anger may also surface more than necessary. Because those born under this sign are so self-oriented, they may lack an awareness of others or appear selfish. This is the perfect opportunity to create awareness in the self of these behaviours, and begin to moderate them.

Physically, Aries rules the head – headaches and dizziness, the eyes and the brain.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
