Doing Things Differently – Full and New Moon

Full Moon in Aquarius

This Full Moon is in Aquarius, an air sign. Thus, we are working in the realm of the mental body. We are being impulsed, or directed, by this moon to be innovative, to use our imaginations and come up with new ways of doing things. Innovation, brilliant ideas, new trends and unconventional ways of doing things are ruled by Aquarius. So, change your perspective of a situation to find a highest and best good solution. This is a great time to follow your heart’s desire, but take it to a whole new level – take it to a worldview. Broaden your scope.

Working with friends is supported by Aquarius, so dust off your networking skills, your open, friendly approaches, and find solutions.

So, what is your mission for the next 15 days or so? Focus inward to shine the light of the moon on:

  • • What is it you want to accomplish?
  • • What do you need to do in order for it to manifest?
  • • What innovative tools can you use? How can you bring creative solutions?
  • • How can I do this differently in order to get a different result?
  • • Who can help me with this?

 Leo New Moon-August 17

Getting the understanding of where we want to go and finding solutions if something is holding us back, is what the first part of the month is about. On the 17th, though, we have the New Moon in Leo, where we will set our intent to move forward on the goals we have cleared at the Full Moon.

Leo, a fire sign, will ask us to act, to follow through on our goals. We may be asked to take a leadership role, to show determination and strength of purpose. Do you believe in yourself and your goal enough to work through what may come up? Do you have confidence in yourself?

We’re being asked to do things in a new way, so can we be a little more light-hearted in our work? Can we laugh more? This is summer after all. We need to have some fun as well. It is time to be creative, be artistic, in what we do. It’s also a time to encourage others, as you may be the one helping someone else.

On a physical level, Leo rules the back and the spine, exhaustion and heat exhaustion, the heart, and inflammation. So, drink lots of water, get lots of sleep, and stay in the shade when possible.

If you are setting intent this New Moon, here are some samples:

  • • I am asking to be open to creative ideas that may help me to move forward with my goals.
  • • I am asking to make wonderful heart connections to bring love, fun and joy into my life.
  • • I am asking to have the confidence to try creative projects and artistic endeavours without worry about the outcome.
  • • I am asking for the courage and the self confidence to move into a leadership role in my field and to take some risks when necessary.

Have a great month. Enjoy the crazy weather and remember to mix a little laughter into everything.

Manifesting Joy

I looked over my notes for the Full Moon past, to see if there was anything that would indicate why so many people, including me, are “under the weather” right now. The only thing I found was Greg Scott talking about the mid-heaven in Scorpio bringing anything that is not yet healed to the surface. So, if you are not feeling well right now, is the situation showing you anything that is not yet healed? For me it was easy to figure out. Even with the flu, covid, a cold, whatever it is I am entertaining right now, I

I thought I Was totally Screwed

For a long time, I thought I was totally screwed. You may have guessed that my sun sign is Sagittarius – the symbol of which is a bare-chested strange looking guy with a bow and arrow, four legs and the back end of a horse. It’s a fire sign. What you probably don’t know, is that my rising sign is Gemini -the twins – double trouble. Gemini is an air sign and its symbol looks like a doorway to who knows where. Air ignites fire. Neither sign struck me as being particularly grounded, so I spent a lot of
