Ramblings
I just listened to a song on the radio whose sentiment has inspired me, and I thought I would pass it along. I listen to country music when I cook or clean; the rhythms keep me moving and I lose myself in the music. This morning I was cooking and this one came on. It’s titled Live Like You Were Dying, by Tim McGraw. (http://bit.ly/r9v8qv). In the song, he says he wishes everyone could experience living as though they were dying. They would truly enjoy life, take chances/risks, feel love more deeply. This is an experience I’m incorporating into my life. Last year, a friend of mine passed away at a very young age. While thinking about her one day I asked myself what I would regret not having done if I were to pass away suddenly. I was surprised at the response I got; there were a couple
New Moon in Aries
I’ve been reading up on Aries, and it seems to me that it is all about “the self”; knowing the self, trusting the self, being the self, while at the same time being aware of everyone and everything around you and how you are affecting them. This makes perfect sense to me, as this is the time of fresh beginnings in the northern hemisphere. We start anew. and in order to do that we need to know who we are at the core, be comfortable with that, and allow it. This is what we have hopefully been working on over the fall and winter. A new plant that is beginning to push up through the ground in spring knows who it is and what it will become. It is comfortable being a tulip, or a blade of grass. It knows what it has to do in order to grow
New Moon in Pisces
March has always been one of my favourite months of the year. I love seeing if March comes in like a lamb and goes out like a lion (or vice versa), I love the St. Patrick’s Day parade, with the pipe bands and all the liveliness. I also love the vernal equinox, the promise that it brings of Spring, of new beginnings, of fresh starts. And I love the wind. New Moon is coming up on Friday the 4th of March, and is in the sign of Pisces. When I investigate the attributes of Pisces I see such amazing qualities to aspire to and work toward. One of the ones I aspire to most is to be in joy, or enjoy, each turn of the road, each quirk in my path, as well as when things are moving on the straight and narrow. We can intend to be in
New Moon in Aquarius
So, did you have fun with the Capricorn energy, delving into all those material matters? I certainly did. Taking a brutally honest look at expenditures was a little uncomfortable, and a bit of a surprise, but my planning is all the better for it. It was a very grounding month. Now, we have moved into Aquarius. This is a totally different energy. It’s all about being innovative, thinking outside of the box, and being your authentic self, no matter how outrageous. What a fun time! We’re being invited to let loose our imaginations and recognize our brilliance. Take a chance, do something totally wild, out of character. Aquarius also rules freedom, and we’re seeing struggles all over the Middle East with regards to this. The timing was impeccable. It also rules highest and best good outcomes for all concerned, so lets pray that that is what happens. Aquarius also
New Moon in Capricorn 2011
Tuesday January 4th is New Moon in Capricorn, as well as Solar Eclipse. What an energetic time we are in! Everything seems to be magnified. The eclipse will be seen at sunrise in northern Europe, working its way eastward as the day goes on. The area in which it will be visible looks like a cap over the top quarter of the Earth sphere. The wisdom of how the seasons and the constellations flow never ceases to amaze me. On the Solstice, we entered the winter season – the time of hibernation. This is our opportunity to journey within and acquaint ourselves with whom we’ve become over the last year, to fully integrate and ground and decide where we go from here. Look at Nature. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, she blankets herself in snow and gets ready for Spring. The seeds that we developed over the last year
New Moon in Sagittarius 2010
On November 22 we moved out of the intense Scorpio energy into fun loving Sagittarius. Did you feel the difference? For 28 days we plumbed the inner depths, and now we get to bring what we learned into the light of day and put it to use. We see this happening with Wikileaks. Secrets (the dark) are coming to the light.Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign. Its’ energy is male, that of doing, and it is a sign of light and lightness. Forget taking things too seriously right now. Live in the moment and let the stress of the season run off your back. That’s the Sag. way to be. Dr. Sagittarius would say you need to laugh more, take it easy, do a meditation, take a risk, be impulsive, learn something new. Certainly don’t let yourself get bored! Oh, did anyone say travel to a beach, or visit
